Popular Larchmont Bakery Will Close

There's still a little time to get some Larchmont sugar and sweets.

Sugar Mama Bakershop at 1985 Palmer Ave., a popular bakery and place to hang out in Larchmont, will close its doors for good on Sunday.

The bakery will close due to personal circumstances, Kim Conca, the shop's owner, said in a Facebook post.

The bakeshop opened in 2015.

"I appreciate all of the love and support from all of my loyal customers, social media followers, family, friends and especially my amazing staff," Conca said on Facebook. "I would like to think of this not as a goodbye but as a see you later."

The shop specialized in doughnuts, cupcakes and macaroons, among other baked goodies.

It was located near the Larchmont Playhouse which closed in September 2016 after iBow Tie Cinemas did not renew its lease at 1975 Palmer Ave. Last year, New York City developer Charles Cohen purchased the Larchmont cinema.
